lifelong waterman and Maryland Watermen’s Association advocate, J.R. Gross, passed away July 15, 2011

It is with sadness that we report that lifelong waterman and Maryland Watermen’s Association advocate, J.R. Gross, passed away on Saturday, July 9th, at the age of 43. J.R. was a fourth generation waterman and his father was one of the founders of the watermen’s association. Watermen across the state have been calling the MWA office about funeral details and we are reporting them here:

 

The visitation and viewing will be held from 9:00 -10:00am am, Saturday, July 16.

The wake will be held at 10:00 – 11:00am

The celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am

The repast to follow at The West River United Methodist Church Camp, 5100 Chalk Point Road, West River, Maryland 20778.

 

All activities will be held at Franklin United Methodist Church 5345 Deale Churchton Road, Churchton MD

Flowers may be sent to the church.

Condolences may be sent to J.R.’s mother, Patricia Gross.  1141 W River Cove Rd., Churchton, MD 20733
